Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Green Home offers a premium refund of up to 25% to borrowers who either buy, build or renovate for energy efficiency using CMHC-insured financing.

How Much Does CMHC Mortgage Loan Insurance Cost?

To obtain CMHC Mortgage Loan Insurance, lenders pay an insurance premium. Usually your lender will pass these cost on to you. Your lender will give you the exact price when you apply for a mortgage.

Up to 25% premium refund may be available when CMHC Mortgage Loan Insurance is used to finance an energy-efficient home.
